Wow! I received a beautiful hand-written thank you note this week that is too long to post on my testimonials page, but thought it worthy of sharing in its entirety on the blog. It's from the mother of a bride from a wedding in Washington, DC, in June '05:
Happy New Year! Recently, while cleaning out papers, I came across the thank you note I had written to you but never mailed last summer. With sincere apologies, I want to belatedly thank you for the incredible photographs of Kate and Randy's wedding. What a priceless treasure they are. In each photo, your artistic eye captured a moment and emotion of the day. You are a true talent!
The first dances are a prime example of your gift. Within one song, you caught Kate and Randy laughing, a moment of tenderness, deep love, totally oblivious to the family and friends and contemplating a new life together. You caught a full range of emotions.
Emotions ruled the day and you were totally unobtrusive as you photographed everything. So many moments, I didn't see. What a gift to be able to see the day with your amazing eyes.
Your demeanor kept Kate relaxed and that relaxation eventually flowed through everyone else. You are a true professional but having you there was like having a dear friend with us for the day.
We are all thrilled with the results! Kate shared your website with me. It is so you! Professional, yet not imposing or stuffy, giving clients examples of the full array of your talents and skills.
Emilie, I wish you all the best in your life and career. I am so happy you were the one to share one of the most important days in our lives. My memories along with your photographs are a priceless treasure. Please forgive me for being so late with my deepest thanks.
