Emilie on TV

I woke up this morning to a phone call from Jim Keithley, friend and reporter for Channel 8 in Portland, excitedly asking if he could pass my contact information along for a NECN story on young business professionals in Maine following an article published in Kiplinger's Magazine about the city's appeal to those in my age bracket.

So, New England Cable News reporter Elissa Burnell and her photographer Dave came over to interview me about living and working in Maine. I have no problem giving a glowing review of Portland, why I moved here on purpose and why it appeals to me and my business! The story is slated to run on the 6:30p news tonight across New England, so tune in if you can (Channel 42 locally).

  1. Very cool! Congratulations, Emilie! For those of us who don't get NECN, if you post a link to an online clip if there is one, that would be great.

    love, mom and steve xo

  3. I searched the NECN site for "business maine" and the clip came right up. Great to see you!

  4. AWESOME!!! You deserve it girl! Wow em with your skillz ;)

  5. So the video is up (thanks for the heads-up, Andrea! I miss you!), and it's not as bad as I thought it might be (except for our half-finished deck railing in the backyard and my, um, admission that folks from the Washington Post newsroom thought I was a little nutty to move to Maine. Ooops!). Cool that Dakota and Destin made the cut! Glad they were able to edit out their subsequent barking and visits to their water dish for extended periods of time lapping up water during the interview (I had given them peanut butter Kongs to keep them quiet initially, forgetting that would soon make them quite thirsty!). Very strange to be on the other side of the camera, that's for sure!
