Gia and Brian live in Chicago so I was not able to meet them in advance, but it was like greeting old friends when we arrived for the weekend. There were so many wonderful things about their wedding weekend... the scenery, the weather, the warmth of their friends and family, and the obvious love between them.

There are more than 2,000 images from the weekend, so be sure to check out a glimpse of the fun on the slideshow (it takes a while to load because there are so many images, so hang tight!).

J was my second photographer for the weekend. Here, he is working the low angle at the rehearsal dinner (hosted by a family friend on Barter's Island) while I am up on the rocks.

A few details from the wedding day:

Gia's family has had a summer home within the Spruce Point Inn complex for years, so Gia got ready there while J was with the boys at the Inn.

The line-up of men (Brian is in the center).

At the church, Gia's dad was a little confused about what to do with the veil- he tried to put it back over her face after giving her a quick peck. Too cute!

I took the picture on the left, while J was outside waiting for the newlyweds to exit the church. Love the lens flare!

During Gia's father's toast.

A sweet glance during the first dance.

Thank you so much for having us, Gia and Brian. We wish you both endless happiness and love. Enjoy your travels, and definitely check out Mattei's Tavern in Los Olivos!

  1. Nice team work guys! I love your shots.

  2. This is some rockin' coverage! ;) Really great work Em! Those Chicago-ans are something else ;)

  3. Dynamite details! I love the collages you are doing with those on the blog (and will most likely steal the idea). I love LOVE when guys wear khaki suits- makes it so much easier on the photog. It's so cool to see your different angles on the same scene- I'd love to see more of those side by side. It makes a pretty convincing case for a second shooter- hey, can I borrow J. I kid! I kid.

  4. Great post...it was a blast 2nd shooting for this wedding. Gia and Brian were great and everyone that came to celebrate with them!

Looking forward to our next wedding together sweets!
