Politics aside, I was thrilled when I got a call from a former colleague at USA Today's picture desk asking if I could scoot over to photograph Sen. Susan Collins touring a Maine Medical research facility in Scarborough as part of their 50 states/50 days feature leading up to the election. Sure, she literally just walked down a hall and looked at posters on the walls, but it felt great to have that editorial adrenaline flowing again!
The paper only had room to run one image, so I thought I'd post a few more from the assignment here.
