Thank you all so much for taking the time to for vote for emilie inc. in the Portland Buy Local Indie Biz Awards. I received a phone call yesterday afternoon from one of the board members to inform me of the great news. Weehoo! My winning category's description:
Many of Portland’s independent businesses operate in a studio, a workshop, an office, a clinic, a garage, a gym, or even out of the home. You can’t swing by for the paper and cup of coffee, but they’re a big part of our economy and our quality of life. When you need to call on them, you always have a great experience, and you’re always glad they’re there.
J was out of town so emilie inc. associate photographer Whitney joined me for the awards celebration last night, an inspirational evening of music, munchies, a silent auction and mingling with other local movers and shakers. I loved it, and left with an incredible sense of pride for my community.
This was my first non-photography award, and I couldn't be more proud to have my business efforts recognized. emilie inc. is in great company with the other winners:
