The week before leaving for Roots Workshop I received a sweet email from Erica in New York, who had read I would be on the Cape the same week her family would be there for a vacation. We arranged for a family portrait hour after my workshop wrapped, as J and I were literally on our way home to Maine. Her family? Gorgeous and fun, and with a perfect seaside location. Mother Nature, unfortunately, surprised us with a sneak attack gusty rain storm that literally left all our hair on end but created for a fast-moving, energetic session.
