Alicia grew up in Maine, and currently lives in North Carolina. Her parents, still local, visited the studio and booked me more than a year before their September nuptials. I met Alicia and Ryan a few months prior to their big day when they were passing through Portland on a planning trip to tie up loose ends. Tho they have no specific connection to Boothbay, they both just love the Maine coast and Spruce Point Inn seemed the right fit to accommodate all their traveling guests. Indeed! Everyone arrived into town early and had a great week relaxing and exploring the darling town before Saturday's main event.

This was our fifth wedding at Spruce Point this season and, like most of the other weddings we photographed there, rain threatened all day long and unfortunately showered us as we worked quickly to take the family formals by the water. Add rain, a three hour break between the ceremony and reception, and a groom with a queasy stomach, and it made for a very interesting day!

Alicia was one of the more laid back brides I've met. She was so relaxed getting ready, happy to be spending time with her family and never showed a bit of nervousness.

This was my first time photographing at this church and I was happily surprised that I was allowed access all over the place during the full mass. The side aisles were particularly helpful for sneaking around for side angles.

Married!

Ryan took a turn at the microphone with the band.

Flip flops = happy dancing feet.

Congratulations, Alicia and Ryan! It was a pleasure working with you both, and I'm just thrilled for you and your families! I hope you are having a blast in Mexico!
