Well, what a treat this is to share with you all! Shannon is my cousin, my mini-me from when we were little (if you can believe it, we actually did look a lot alike then). When she announced her engagement last winter, it was such fun to watch her tackle the planning process. I was totally heartbroken, unfortunately, when she decided to tie the knot on the most popular day of the year: the Saturday of Labor Day weekend, a date I had been booked for well over a year. Darn!
Lucky for both of us, tho, my associate Whitney was available and stepped up to do the honors. Big shoes to fill, no? :) Their vows, exchanged in my hometown church in New Hampshire (where my mom & stepfather, and my sister & brother-in-law were also hitched), was one of the summer's most beautiful days and the images reflect that and the sweet love between Shannon and Bobby, too.
How they met, in Shannon's words:
I suppose you could say we are college sweethearts, not really meeting until our senior year, although we were the same major, had several classes together, and many mutual friends. It all started with some bonding over a difficult assignment, working together on homework, and eventually him inviting me to dinner with his roommates (cooked by the now best man!) A few late nights talking and a pre-Thanksgiving apple pie bakefest with his family and there was no turning back!
When we were growing up, Shannon lived in a condo with her mom, my aunt Susie, in Nashua. When Susie married my uncle Matt (in Vegas!), they all moved to a larger home in town and then finally, out of town to build their dream house and enjoy the quiet of country living. Indeed.
Cousin Shannon! Shannon and Bobby own a house together not far from her mom's.

Hallelujah for pretty late day sun!
I have to admit, it's a little odd seeing my little cousin all grown up and now married! Shouldn't we still be playing with your dollhouse and dress-up in Nana's old clothes?! Happy to see you are just as playful, Shan, even as an adult.

Not sure what was happening here...
... but imagine this is what they were mimicking in the above image. ;)

Congratulations, cuz!! So happy for you and Bob. You were a beautiful bride and even tho I wasn't there, I loved editing your images and felt like I was part of the excitement. Love you dearly and am so happy for you & Bobby and our family! Who would have thought all those years ago we'd both be tying the knot within months of each other! xoxoxo
