Limited edition Sea Bags for Pink Initiative

by

On this, Black Friday, I'd like to offer a holiday gift idea for those on your list or to add to your own wish list. Pink Initiative, the non-profit I founded as a place for wedding vendors from around the country to donate toward funding a cure for breast cancer, has partnered with Sea Bags to offer a limited edition medium tote bag and wine bag. Retailing for $150 and $35 respectively with profits donated to Pink Initiative, these bags are not only resourceful and fashionable, but they make a statement as well.

The bags are currently in production, so you'll have to use your imagination with the mock-ups below to visualize what the final product will be. The p, n, and k on the tote bag will be screen printed directly onto the bag. The i will be a sewn ribbon. It is 14" tall by 14" wide. On the wine bag, the entire design is a sewn patch on the side of the bag. And both feature the custom Sea Bags for Pink Initiative logo stamped on the inside.

I am currently taking pre-orders! Email yours to photo {at} emilieinc {dot} com. We will ship the bags on 12/17, just in time for Christmas delivery. Don't delay, limited quantity available!

weekend getaway to Philadelphia

by

Last weekend, with no shoots on the calendar, I jumped at the chance to visit college friend Erica and her family in Philadelphia. Erica and hubby Steve's little girl, Zoey, turned one in September and I was overdue for some baby snuggles since their visit to Maine in the spring. I brought my camera along and captured a little of their everyday life.

Their beautiful English Setter Bubba.

Zoey's nursery is a bright electric mint green.

My friend Erica. We met in journalism class at Syracuse, and became instant friends when paired in the same group building a house with Habitat for Humanity for spring break.

Those eyelashes!

We visited the nearby darling town of New Hope, PA, to meet up with my friend from USA Today, Olivia, who just became a mom three weeks ago! Here's Zoey with daddy Steve.

After a stroll through town, we took over a corner in a restaurant. I loved watching my college friend and colleague, who just met for the first time, swapping parenting skills and stories of days gone by.

Olivia's little boy Henry woke up long enough for a big stretch.

I giggled watching two of my more fashionable friends now toting utility diaper bags instead of their trendy handbags.

Back at home exhausted, we all crashed early.

* Toddler Thomas in New Hampshire

by

14 month old Thomas is the son of Kristel and Peter whose 2007 wedding I photographed in Litchfield, New Hampshire. Catching up with these two again as parents was a special treat and it is very apparent their new role as parents suits them perfectly.

* Baby Zachary turns 1

by

Look who turned one! Zachary, the son of wedding planner Kate Parker and her dj husband Ryan, reached the big milestone this month and I was fortunate to capture him for the fourth time in his first year. We had 40 minutes to wake this sleeping cutie, change him, feed him and photograph him before he left for a doctor's appointment.

And, of course, we had to include one of pup Lola, looking fierce at the top of the stairs. :)

Happy Birthday, Zachary! And thank you, Kate and Ryan, for entrusting me with this special role of documenting your son's first year. xoxo
