On New Year's Eve we had the pleasure of photographing an intimate wedding reception at the Danforth Inn in Portland. I can't tell you how many times I have driven past this old mansion, rich with history dating back to 1823, and what a wonderful surprise it was to finally visit. The inn is truly a rare gem in Portland's West End that combines the classic with the modern, creating a warm and inviting space for events and accommodations for the sophisticated traveler. We were so impressed with everything about this place. The food, the decor, and the staff are first rate and top-of-mind whenever someone inquires for an intimate venue.
We were especially flattered when innkeeper Leslie Cottrell asked us to participate in a small bridal open house at the Danforth, to be held next Saturday, March 20th, from 1-3p, alongside other local talents Gayle Forte from Let The Eat Cake, James McBride from Compositions Floral Design, classical musician Michael Katz and dj Mike Rice. If you are looking for a small event venue or simply want to explore their beautiful rooms and gardens for your guest's accommodations, please join us for conversation and light refreshments. The event is free and open to all. RSVP to Leslie at 207.879.8755.
