Last Saturday was one of the most beautiful wedding days I can recall. Sunny, but not too hot, and hardly humid at all with a perfect breeze to top it off. Oh, what a joy to head to Boothbay Harbor to the sweet beach community on Massachusetts Road to document Christina and Aaron's wedding.
Massachusetts Road splits off into several tiny dirt roads dotted with perfectly manicured cottages. Cars are uncommon here, tho, as everyone prefers well worn foot paths that create a maze around the community that empty into a common field, the place where Christina and Aaron hosted their wedding, overlooking the water.
Can you say storybook?
How they met, in Christina's words:
Aaron and I met in Lake Tahoe, CA. We had both moved there separately after college, and a mutual friend ended up introducing us after a few months of living out there separately. We lived in Tahoe for two years, moved to Boston together for two years and then ended up moving back to Tahoe!
My family has been going to Boothbay Harbor every summer since I was a baby. My Dad has actually been going there since he was a teenager. The place is extremely special for my family and I. It holds countless family memories and our summer community there acts as our extended family. We will be getting married in a field overlooking the water that was the site of many childhood games of flashlight tag, overnight "camp outs," lobster bakes, etc.
Please view their album and some of our favorite images below!
Aaron's expression when he sees Christina heading down the aisle. How adorable!
Some of the community residents watched from their decks.
After the ceremony, guests moved under a Sperry Tent for dinner and dancing.
These are the "kids" that Christina grew up with each summer.
What a lovely day all around. Thank you, Christina and Aaron, for having us. Wishing you (and Henry) an enjoyable stay in Maine until you head back to California!
