Where do I even begin with these two? Jeanna's mom clipped an article about me from the Portland Press Herald back in 2008, before Jeanna was even engaged, but she was intrigued that we share the same alma mater. A few months later, Jeanna and her sweetie Tyler were sitting in my studio gushing about early wedding plans, asking for recommendations and chatting about all things 'Cuse (Go Orange!).

Since that first meeting, we have stayed in regular contact, including emails with lots of explanation points as Jeanna enthusiastically knocked items off her bridal To Do list. We had a most memorable engagement session at Tyler's parents' place on the water in Cape Elizabeth last year. And our in-house designer Christina designed all of their printed wedding pieces including their custom logo, beautiful letterpress invitations and ceremony programs, place cards and out of town welcome bag letters.

How they met, in Jeanna's words:
Tyler and I met in college at Syracuse University. The chance meeting happened when Tyler got a suggestion from his father to contact me after having a conversation with my mother (who he works with) about 'having the kids carpool home to Maine for together' for an upcoming holiday break - so without us knowing, our numbers were exchanged by our parents and so begins the story! Although we are both from Maine, we had never met, but that all changed one night out when we planned to meet at a classic Syracuse college bar...I knew very few details about him, but when I saw Tyler roll into the bar I had a feeling it was him. I convinced my friend to go ask him what his name was...and BINGO it was Tyler! Later that night, after lots of sparks and an immediate connection, Tyler asked me for a ride home for Thanksgiving vacation...which led to four unforgettable years at Syracuse University, a sunny three year adventure in California, a chilly apartment in Boston, and now a home sweet home in Cohasset, Massachusetts! The past nine years have been a whirlwind journey filled with amazing memories together, but we are eagerly looking forward to what's in store for us as husband and wife!

Jeanna and Tyler have impeccable taste and are absolute naturals in front of the camera. They both come from very fun families and we adore that they were up for anything (even, um, avoiding police to get the shot!). Tho they are currently living in Massachusetts, I'm one of many counting down their 5-year plan to move back to Maine. :)

Don't miss their album and highlights of the day below!

Peaks Island, just a 15 minute ferry ride from Portland, is miles away from ordinary with a sweet island vibe.

Jeanna's mom made her a bracelet featuring a locket with a picture of her deceased father, left.

The yummy custom invitations.

Thankful for a beautiful day, the ceremony was on the lawn adjacent to the reception tent.

The bridal party readied in the Inn's darling guestrooms.

The maids donned fabulous peachy pumps.

Jeanna receives a gift from her soon-to-be-hubby. Think she's surprised?

Gorgeous.

Peeking at arriving guests.

Meanwhile, the guys had played a little beer pong earlier in the afternoon.

But they cleaned up well.

Beautiful flowers by Flora Fauna.

Love the nautical rope detailing.
Go time.

Married!

This tent was simply amazing. Judy transformed it perfectly to Jeanna's taste.

Some more of Christina's paper details.

We snagged a golf cart and scooted off to catch the perfect evening light.

Back inside, everyone had a blast dancing to the live music (and I was loving the purple lighting! Adds so much depth to dancing photos).

Jeanna and Tyler, goodness, I'm a little emotional that your wedding- after literally years of planning- is now behind us! Wow! Now what?! I can speak on behalf of everyone at emilie inc, as we all got to know you two!, that we loved working with you! Thank you, thank you. And congratulations!! xo
