From the name of the cottage, blueberry, to the quintessential ceremony with white garden chairs overlooking the water to an evening of merriment in a tent under the stars, this was a perfectly Maine wedding! Whitney did a beautiful job capturing the festivities and loved working with these two and their families.
How they met, in Kate's words:
Peter and I grew up in different towns but we always knew of each other in high school. It wasn't until after college that we kept bumping into each other on Nantucket island. We finally connected and have been together ever since. We both grew up in Maine and it was important that we get married in the area, and we wanted to have the wedding on the water. The cottage we rented was perfect because it's in Cape Elizabeth where Peter grew up, and where we now live, and it over looks Higgins Beach in Scarborough, where I'm from.
