baby inc. update



BOY!

J and I had the fantastically surreal experience last week of learning that our first born, due January 20th, is a boy! Tho everyone (and literally their mother, too) predicted a girl, we're very excited and are having a blast preparing for our little guy's arrival.

A change from emilie inc. pink, I've been busy fielding recommendations for cute- not cheesy- boy clothes (they exist!) and find walking around Babies R Us with a refined focus a bit more fun now and not completely overwhelming. We're also researching everything from organic nursery furniture and naturopath pediatric care (tho I can't begin to fathom a natural birth. Kudos to you who can!) to the possibility of moving to another house so we can have a bit more room to spread out. Will keep you posted on everything, of course, and appreciate your support!

    I just ordered a gray onesie from Old Navy with little white skulls. I love all the badass boy stuff out there, no winnie the pooh for me! (our son is due Dec. 23)

  2. Again, so happy for you both! What an exciting time for you to experience, I hope your pregnancy is going smoothly! Regarding your comments on the baby clothes, yes, there is so much out there now. Babies R Us and Target have some great, affordable selections for Eco-conscious parents. I will send you some other links for more variety. We actually saw the other day an Eco-friendly pre-school!

  5. So happy for you both! Feel free to call or email me as I was research queen prepping for Luba's arrival - from milk paint for the nursery to organic cotton crib mattress, we outfitted her as eco-friendly as possible (seems to have worked - she is one happy, healthy, easy going 2 year old).
