Whitney captured the outdoor nuptials of Nina and Robin before 45 of their closest friends and family at the Mooring Bed & Breakfast in Georgetown, Maine. Infused with traditions and personal touches, this intimate celebration was a wonderfully sweet celebration.
How they met, in their own words:
We met in college, when we lived in the same dorm freshman year. We had a couple classes together, and ended up studying together quite often. We were friends all through college, and after graduation when we parted ways. About a year after graduation, we went on vacation with a number of our friends, and that is when we started dating. That was two and a half years ago, and the rest is history :-) For the first two years of dating, we were living on opposite ends of the country (Nina in Michigan and Robin in Seattle), and finally moved in together in April 2010. We got engaged in Maine in August 2009, on the beach just a couple miles away from our wedding location.
Our ceremony will be nondenominational. We will be doing a unity candle and having a few people do readings for us. We will also be performing a couple traditional Indian customs. First, we will exchange flower garlands, which signifies us welcoming each other into our lives. We will also be walking around a fire (candlestick) three times, each time praying for something different: long life, happiness, prosperity.

Congratulations, Nina and Robin! We wish you a wonderful celebration in Michigan this weekend, too!
