Ellen attended a wedding I photographed three years ago, and thought of us when she got engaged and was planning her Maine wedding. I was already booked for their wedding day, but associate Whitney documented the festivities beautifully. Ellen and longtime sweetie Cameron took full advantage of a miraculously warm late September day, taking a boat ride and even a dip in the water (!), on their wedding day for their seaside nuptials.
How they met, in Ellen's words:
Cam and I started dating at the end of high school, however, we knew of each other for years before then, especially since our brothers were good friends. Then we began an epic long-distance, sometimes transcontinental and even transatlantic, relationship over the course of about ten years, between being at different colleges and studying abroad, and then living across the country from one another. I finally moved to San Francisco to be with Cam about two years ago, and we got engaged a year later after moving back to Boston together. After all of that time and effort, we are happy to say things worked out!
Over the course of those years, we spent many fun times together in the Boothbay region of Maine where Cam’s family has been coming for multiple generations. It is a special and beautiful spot that we know will play a big role in our future, so we decided this area would be a great place to get married (and engaged!). (Damariscove Island, where we were engaged, is actually visible from the Inn where we will be married!)
Enjoy their album design and a few of our favorite images from the day below!
Happy congratulations you two!! Wishing you all the best in your new life as husband and wife. Cheers!!
