I photographed Erin's brother's wedding two years ago. Unfortunately I was already booked for Erin's wedding date to Peter, but did have the pleasure of photographing two days of events leading up to the big day. Associates J and Denise, along with video by Morgan and our Snapshot Studio rounded out their wedding day coverage. It was a fantastically full and fun weekend. Well, minus one thing...
Meet Erin and Peter, Harvard college sweethearts now living in New York.
To all their wedding guests, everything looked as it should before the ceremony. Beautiful flowers...
But... no bride. :( Erin's father delivered the news that Erin had a bad bout of food poisoning after their rehearsal dinner the night before. A hospital visit that night and morning of rest at home wasn't enough to kick it in time for their ceremony.
With a grand party awaiting everyone, they continued on with the festivities hoping that Erin might be able to rally later.
Peter finally got a call that his bride would be on her way!
Tho the sun had set and guests were done with dinner, everyone cleared a path and performed the wedding ceremony under the tent.
It was tight, but the end result so sweet. Husband and wife!
They scooted off to catch up after alone.
And then joined the party for toasts and dancing.
The next morning, despite a little drizzle, J returned to the inn to capture a few portraits back in their wedding attire.
Wow, right? SO happy Erin was ok and that these two were able to get hitched even if not in the most ideal arrangement.
Photo booth fun.
