Ah, St. John. The place J and I were married a year and a half ago... the place with crystal clear water and lush greenery emblazoned in my memory... the place everyone from New England wants to be right about now! But, mama can't fly and so J and Whitney volunteered to make the trip to photograph Sandy and Jim's wedding this month. Lucky them!

Sandy is the sister of one of my favorite couples from my days living in Washington, DC: Lawrence and Pam. Fiercely loyal and fun friends, and now parents of a little luv of their own, Margot, it pained me not to be able to visit with them but was fun to see them as I edited!

With a sweet ceremony at Caneel Bay's Turtle Point (if you don't know about Caneel Bay, it's worth a spin around their website. Founded by Laurance Rockefeller and situated on 170 private acres, it's truly an amazing experience. Exclusive resort to the stars and those with impeccable taste, it's where J and I splurged for our mini-moon and loved every minute), these long-time sweethearts were surrounded by 28 family and friends as they exclaimed their vows and celebrated under the stars into the evening.

How they met, simply put, in Sandy's words:
Jim and I met through mutual friends. Our first date was a Monday night Patriots Football game at Foxborough Stadium in November 1999. 10 years and many dates later we decided to tie the knot.

Enjoy their album and a few of our favorite images below.

Happy congratulations, Sandy and Jim! So very happy emilie inc. was able to document your island I Do's!!

And with that, our 2010 wedding season has officially come to a close. What a wonderful year!
