I grew up summering "at the lake" in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, so I get extra-excited when I have the chance to photograph there for people who have the same fond appreciation for the area as I do. Geri and Eric tied the knot on the most fun weekend of all, the Fourth of July holiday, treating their guests from Miami and New York to a relaxing escape.
Portraits were important to these two, so we made time for a few formals both before and after the ceremony. Radar was calling for storms, so the outside ceremony was moved under the tent at the water's edge. (Their sweet florist set up their chuppah for them again outside once the ceremony had ended and the rain had passed for photos.) You'd think these two were models, no? Miss Geri easily resembles Anne Hathaway, doesn't she?
Despite the change in plans, everything was perfect and this crew celebrated city-style with a 10p dinner and dancing until 2a! Denise and I were happy to capture the festivities and are very grateful to all for your kind hospitality at your home.
Two things I hadn't seen before: a "tree" antipasto serving station during cocktail hour, and a neat window box table assignment display.
