October is a transitional month. Our wedding season comes to a close, the leaves change and begin to fall, and the days get shorter and cooler. As we pull out our sweaters, we also are forced to take some time to reflect on the seasons that have passed as winter seems to be staring us in the face just around the bend. Instead of reclaiming Saturdays as our own, we shift to spending them with families, focused on capturing beautiful portraiture to adorn holiday cards and to showcase in frames and in books as gifts.
Two dates you should note are Saturday, October 22nd, where I'll be camped out at our favorite local portrait spot, East End Beach in Portland, photographing ten 30-minute sessions to raise money for the breast cancer non-profit I founded, Pink Initiative, and Sunday, October 30th, when the emilie inc. team will take to French's Point in Stockton Springs to photograph the winners of a current contest for four engaged couples to spend the weekend and receive a free engagement session on the property. Check out Facebook for details on that contest, and the poster below for our charity fundraiser. Contact our studio manager Megan with any questions and we hope to see you soon!
