This fall has been a bit different for me than usual. After a busy wedding season and entering my third trimester, I made the difficult decision to not accept a usual full schedule of family portraits with the goal to take advantage of the season with my own family and enjoy a little downtime. The exception, however, was photographing our dear neighbors.
We are extraordinarily lucky to live next door to such a warm, welcoming family and providing them with images of this slice in their life was an absolute pleasure. Sweet Sarah is a year older than Will, and little Jake a year younger. When our baby girl arrives, we'll have a brood than spans 4 years. I can already envisioning them racing through the woods to see one another, making forts in the trees and collaborating on snowmen masterpieces as I did with our neighbors as kids.
Our session started at Town Landing in Falmouth on a most blustery day. Brr! Later we moved to their house for a more comfortable cozy setting out of the elements. I always love capturing families in their home setting as everyone seems more at ease and it feels more like a playdate, with a really big camera or two.
