I was honored to meet Audrey when she was just one day old. She is a big healthy baby, born 9 pounds and 5 ounces, and with beautiful locks of red hair to match her mama's. Her mom, Christina, is a dear friend of ours, a former employee of emilie inc, a fellow photographer and a beautiful mother. Seeing her that morning, I never would have guessed that she had given birth just the day before.
Apparently when my younger brother came home from the hospital, I hit him over the head with a plastic hammer. Needless to say, I was curious how Christina's first born, Amelia, would react to her younger sister. Luckily for Audrey, she fell into the role of a proud older sister perfectly. She was even a natural when it came to holding the newborn by herself. Audrey, already a very thoughtful younger sister, thanked Amelia with the gift of a camera.
It was a very sweet and emotional morning. As a photographer, we are often allowed in to intimate moments in people's lives. Thank you, Wnek family, for being so open and trusting, and letting me document this special event. It was a pleasure to spend time with your family, and to help welcome Audrey into the world. I look forward to seeing you again soon!
