I had the pleasure of photographing June's dinner at Flanagan's Table (after Megan started things off in May), which just so happens to be right down the road from me. Chefs Andrew Taylor and Mike Wiley from Eventide Oyster Co. prepared several amazing courses for the lucky diners and entertainment was provided by... nature! We all watched as dark storm clouds rolled in as cocktails and appetizers were enjoyed. Then, as guests sat down to dinner, the skies darkened considerably and a massive thunderstorm was unleashed with pouring rain. Some of the cracks of thunder were loud enough to make people jump (me included), but it was fun to watch the craziness outside while being protected in the cozy, candlelit barn.
I'll be photographing July's dinner with Chef Cara Stadler of Tao in just a few days, can't wait to see what that evening brings.
