Sarah and Tim are good friends with Denise and her husband Jon, so I immediately sensed that I would like them. They are such a loving couple and their wedding day so personal. Sarah and Tim's invitation included car bingo and their RSVP card was done Mad Libs style with a blanket of everyone's answers hung in the reception hall (both designed by Jon). It was the first wedding that I've attended where the groom and groomsmen made their way down a hill to the ceremony site, singing, and it was fun to hear them rehearse that morning while dressing in their suits and ties.
We had an unfortunate mid-ceremony surprise in the form of rain, but everyone hastened inside and resumed the ceremony there. It was heart-warming to witness the emotion between Sarah and Tim. They held a tissue between them during the ceremony and playfully chastised the other for making them cry.
It was quite exciting when the sun returned post-ceremony. The kids enjoyed playing in the yard and adults relaxed with cocktails on the outdoor deck. The celebrations and dancing went late into the night, commencing with a bonfire and s'mores.
I am so incredibly happy for you, Sarah and Tim! Wishing you many years of happiness together.
