Alex and Schuyler's Lake Winnipesaukee boathouse wedding

Tucked at the end of a dead-end lane and through a white gate is Alex's family's stunning summer home, the expansive grounds a perfect setting for this early September celebration.

The ceremony was in the boathouse her mom, an architect, designed. The cocktail hour was on the lawn overlooking the lake view pictured on their invitation. A lingering dinner took place under a glowing Sperry Tent on the lawn. Dancing was under a second tent adjacent to the boathouse, transformed for the evening into a bar and desert area. The party flowed perfectly from space to space, guests reveling in their beautiful surroundings. I, too, marveled at how seamlessly the phases of the day progressed.

I met up with Alex while she was dressing and adored the moment her father caught sight of her in her one shoulder strap white gown. A hand to his face, and a gasp from her mom recalling the day they brought her home from the hospital. Adorable. Schuyler, too, was taken by his bride when they met for a first look on the back porch before formal photos.

The brief boathouse ceremony wrapped with everyone singing the hymn "Joyful, Joyful, We Adore Thee," a most appropriate theme, as evidenced by the newlyweds beaming faces throughout the day. They were, indeed, a joy to photograph.

Enjoy a sample of their imagery, and heartfelt thanks to you- Alex, Schuyler and your families- for treating us to such a fun, emotional day. So very happy for you!! Many congratulations!
