Red Barn at Outlook Farm wedding of Meaghan and Eric in South Berwick

It was pure luck that on this day I was able to support my husband, brother-in-law, and friend competing in the Pumpkinman Triathalon in the morning, and then head just down the road to the Red Barn at Outlook Farm for Meaghan and Eric's celebration later in the day.  There was excitement in the air at both venues and it made me feel energized just to be a part of both events.

Meaghan found us via her friend and bridesmaid, Carolyn, who was a roommate of Emilie's during their college days.  She is laid back, funny, and does not take herself too seriously, so I had a great time hanging out with her.  Since Eric was getting ready just one room over I was able to scoot there and photograph him as well.  He was ready, with all of his groomsman, doing what groomsmen do... cracking each other up with beers in hand.  Meaghan also warned me that he had a hard time being photographed, but he was totally obliging and generally just very easy to be around.

After a sweet ceremony (with rain clouds looming overhead) everyone gathered in the dining room of the barn for some very touching toasts and a photo slideshow that Meaghan's mother put together.  The Tony Boffa Band had people dancing early and they continued until the very last moment.

Meaghan and Eric, thank you so much for having us and enjoy your upcoming trip to Hawaii!

How they met, in their own words:

Eric and Meg met on Long Lake in Bridgton, Maine. Their parents had been friends for some time. Eric's father, Ray, built Meg's parents lake home. One day, while out for a boat ride, Meg's parents mentioned swinging by the Hanian's camp to take their son, Eric, wakeboarding. Meg erroneously connoted "son" to mean "child"....and assumed he was a young boy. He was not, thankfully. They hit it off and started dating soon thereafter!
