The October installment of Flanagan's Table dinner series featured chef Rob Evans. As Alex mentioned in her introduction, Rob and his wife Nancy have been a forerunners in support of the local food movement in Maine. The couple opened Hugo's in Portland upon their move here in 2000 and Duckfat in 2005, and have always been passionate about creating menus featuring seasonal Maine ingredients.
The menu Rob prepared for the Flanagan's Table dinner sounded incredible and delicious aromas emanated from the kitchen all night. As you might expect, the menu featured some delicious meats (including duck!) and the bread course was served with both butter and lardon so diners could select their spread of choice.
As always, guests seemed to be enjoying themselves immensely. I'm so happy I could document this dinner earlier this month before my move to New York!
