How they met, in their own words:
Rick and Tammie were reunited after a brief encounter 12 years earlier at his nephew’s Christening. Tammie’s sorority sister arranged (unbeknownst to them) to have them both present at the Christening and see if sparks would fly. Well, we won’t go into details, but the sparks didn't fly just yet. Twelve years later Rick finally got the courage (heavily influenced by his sister-in-law) to ask Tammie out for a date. It was love at second sight for the two of them and for the next few years they would each commute from opposite sides of the state of Massachusetts to see each other.
In November of 2013 Rick proposed right before they jetted out to a Bruins game. Their first instinct was to elope since they both come from overwhelmingly large families. After much thought and deliberation they realized that they did indeed want to share this special day with those they love most. Rick is a Mass Maritime grad and they live in a waterfront home on a local pond. They both share a passion for hockey, boating, the Red Sox and a picturesque sunset. True New Englanders, Tammie and Rick settled on a small, intimate, seaside setting in the town in which she grew up, which embodies both their simplicity and passion for the beach and sea.
