Agnes and Will wed at the River Club in Kennebunkport. It was the same venue where his older sister, Kate, had her wedding a few years earlier (which Emilie and Denise photographed!). The day was cool and cloudy. Fortunately, the threatening rain held off for the outdoor ceremony on a deck overlooking the Kennebunk River. It wasn't until I'd hopped in the getaway boat with the newlyweds and groom's brother Tim that it started raining. Luckily Agnes had a scarf with which to cover her hair, and we were all able to laugh about the timing of the storm.
The reception at the River Club was cozy with the rain pouring down outside. Cocktail hour and dinner were catered by the talented Kitchen Chicks. Agnes' family is Polish, and the couple incorporated Polish traditions into their evening including a bread and wine ceremony after their I Do's. There were moving toasts from both sides of the family, and Agnes' sister, Marta, dedicated a Polish song to the newlyweds.
Later in the evening DJ Deja rocked the dance floor, both at the River Club and across the street at the after party. Fortuitously, the rain let up for the migration between venues so that guests could light sparklers in celebration.
Agnes and Will, it was truly a pleasure! I loved getting to know both you and your families. Wishing you many years of happiness together!
