Tara and Sean are two of the most fun and sweet people I've met. I knew this about them because of their engagement session we shot at in Boston at Fenway Park and one of their favorite pubs, 21st Amendment. I also knew this about them because they were headed to Sean's brother's house for an NFL game-watching afternoon and had done their homework, bringing a festive signature cocktail themed with liquors in the New England Patriots colors.
Needless to say, their wedding day was just as sweet and fun-filled. These two were adorable together and after spending time with them solo for their engagement session, it was so lovely to see them surrounded by their loved ones, all the hugs to family members and smiles and inside jokes with best friends.
After getting ready in Meredith, New Hampshire at Church Landing and the Inn at Mills Falls, we headed up the road to St. Charles Borromeo for the ceremony. Father Audet, Pat, and the church crew were so welcoming and the ceremony was lovely. Next we headed to Bald Peak Colony Club in Moultonborough for the rest of the night's celebration. Jennifer Cox from Esquire Events coordinated the day seamlessly, and Shannon, Chris, and their team from Bald Peak executed the extended cocktail hour and reception dinner flawlessly. Sean and his groomsmen were a stylish bunch with their matching stunner shades and socks, and Tara and her bridesmaids looked beautiful in J.Crew dresses, hair by Lena, and makeup by Joanne. Erin from Wild Orchid Baking Company showed her artistry with their wedding cake, and the Flower Kiosk arranged the pretty bouquets and other florals. Honey Train sounded amazing and it was great to see them again (I think it was at least our fourth wedding together, probably more!). They killed it and kept this rowdy crowd on the dance floor all night. Sean's grandfather Pat might have beat him in lasting longer on the dance floor, and Pat's animated excitement for his Neil Diamond request of "Sweet Caroline" set the bar pretty high. However, Sean definitely broke that when I saw him dance to Katy Perry's "Firework." Not even the two little girls I used to nanny for showed that much excitement for the song. It was truly impressive.
Tara and Sean, thank you so much for having me to document your wedding day! It was so much fun, and I'm ecstatic for you two tying the knot! Congrats and I hope Maui and Kauai were a blast! Sláinte!
How they met:
We met in 2009 through our mutual close friend. Tara had moved into a
new apartment with two friends in Brookline and one of her
friends/roommates invited Sean to their housewarming party (he was
Sean's friend from high school).
Tara's family has been going to Lake Winnipesaukee since
the late 80s and has owned a home in the area since 1993. It was the
scene for many happy summer and winter memories, but her favorite time
was always Fall with the beautiful foliage surrounding the lake. Sean
has come to love the lake and the time spent boating, eating, drinking
and enjoying the lake, beaches and mountains.
