When I met with Andrea last year we wondered just what the weather would be like when she and Dave would say their I Do's this March. Would we have snow? Would it be cold? Would we have an amazingly early spring and be enjoying 50 degree weather?
We here in New England are now familiar with The Winter That Never Ends, so there was still snow on the ground in Jackson, NH on the big day. Andrea came prepared with a variety of footwear, as did her bridesmaids. Smart ladies! Dave and his guys had to make do with dress shoes that are not the most rugged, but they made it work.
After a quick ceremony at a darling little church in town, we hopped to a couple of spots for portraits and then came back to Whitney's Inn for family formals. I was so happy when it started snowing and their families were such good sports about posing together while the flakes fell. It lent such a cozy feeling to the evening that continued on into the reception with the dark wood and twinkling lights inside the Shovel Handle Pub.
Andrea and Dave enjoyed a lovely night with their families as the snow continued to fall outside. Toasts were made, cake was cut, and the dance floor definitely saw some action.
Feel free to be jealous of these two who spent their honeymoon in St. Martin soaking up some much needed sun ;)
How they met, in their own words:
We met online through match.com three years ago. We met up for drinks in
Arlington VA and soon we were meeting up for dinner on a regular basis.
We both enjoy hiking and being outside and love to support our local
sports teams, especially our hockey team (the Washington Capitals).
Since first meeting up for dinner we have been to as many hockey games
as we can make time for, hiked the Grand Canyon, explored Chicago, ate
our way through Italy and skied our way through Tahoe. Among our many
trips we know that this trip to NH will be one of the most memorable. We
are excited to see what other adventures will come our way!
