Abbi and Aaron's Portland wedding at Ocean Gateway

I had the pleasure of photographing Abbi and Aaron’s engagement session last August, so the anticipation for their wedding day had been building.  Their big day was finally here and it was beautiful!  The sun shining, a beaming bride, a smitten groom, and friends and family ready to celebrate the night away at Ocean Gateway, one of the few venues on Portland’s downtown waterfront.  Judy from Flora Fauna produced beautiful florals as expected and Blue Elephant served a delicious meal (I usually don’t eat red meat, but I feel lucky to eat their filet mignon!).  The band Splash killed it with some new school and old school hits.  Abbi even jumped on stage to contribute to Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy” with Aaron as a back up singer.  As expected, the Nova Star made an appearance again — it photo bombed their engagement session and delayed their ability to initially book the venue, so their relationship with the ship turned into a long-running joke for them!  Abbi and Aaron wanted to make sure they had a special, memorable wedding day for themselves, but truly, for their guests.  I saw them make the rounds and try to speak to speak to every person.  They made sure everyone was being taken care of and enjoying themselves.  They just wanted all their friends and family to have a good time.  Bearing witness to it, I can say they succeeded.

Congratulations, Abbi and Aaron!  So very happy for you two!
