Alexandra and Martin married at the beautiful French’s Point in Stockton Springs, Maine. Some wet weather didn’t keep them from earnestly celebrating such a big day with 75 of their closest friends and family. Alexandra’s mom was adorable, telling me she wanted to make sure her daughter’s wedding day was special and exactly what she wanted. She was honored and excited to walk her daughter down the aisle, and fully acknowledged in her toast how proud her father, who passed away 14 years earlier, would be of his little girl at that moment and how far she’s come in her life. Maybe he wouldn't have guessed she’d be a kickball champion, but fortunately that sport brought she and Martin together. They’re a perfect match and bring out the best in each other. Martin’s groomsmen Scott and Trace spoke to that in their hilariously written toast riddled with limericks! This and their guests’ impromptu group sing-a-long (with timed leg kicks!) to the night’s final song, Rainbow Connection, were testament to the good people Alexandra and Martin are surrounded by and how happy they were to celebrate with the newlyweds. Kermit would be proud!
Congratulations Alexandra and Martin! Denise and I are so happy for you!
