Jamie and Ben are the kind of people who make friends with everyone. Needless to say, their French’s Point wedding was full of 180 of their closest friends and family who were all just as outgoing and as gregarious as them. Consequently, within minutes of meeting their parents and bridesmaids and groomsmen, they all welcomed me like a friend who they’d hung out with before. Jamie’s maid of honor Courtney correlated that since the bride’s last name is Witt, it was meant to be that Whit photographed the wedding!
Leading up to the ceremony was full of laughter, excitement, Coors for the guys, and mimosas for the girls. Ben was a little more anxious, but I heard him say later in the day “Once I saw Jamie, I was fine.” I saw that emotion in his eyes when he held her hands as she stood before him about to take the oath of marriage. At that moment, I could not only see, but also feel how much he loves Jamie. During the reception we snuck out for some photos of the two of them. When I asked Jamie if Ben liked to dance, she said “Only if I make him.” Clearly these two bring balance to the other as Cathie, the officiant, had explained during the ceremony!
Congratulations, Jamie and Ben! I have no doubt the rest of your wedding was beyond stellar — you had quite the dancing, partying crowd! Thanks again for having me along to document it all!
