I got to spend a beautiful Sunday evening with Liz and Matt at the idyllic Maudslay State Park in Newburyport, MA for their engagement session. I am jealous that someone (the Moesley Family) used to call that 480-acre estate their home! I could have explored there all day with Liz and Matt who had some sweet, tender moments together in the rose garden, the field, and at the lake. Their three-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback, Jefferson, provided some comic relief throughout the evening — photo bombing, digging holes, running wild in the rose garden, and attempting to bag one of many squirrels, but to no avail. Liz and Matt will be hiking the Presidential Traverse in a few weeks, which will make them members of the Four-Thousand Footers Club, meaning they’ve hiked all 48 mountains just over 4,000 feet above sea level in the White Mountain National Forest, a list maintained by the Appalachian Mountain Club. Their wedding is at the wonderful Hardy Farm in the spring, near some favorite rock climbing crags of mine, one of which we may visit for their first look. My time with this outdoorsy and accomplished couple made me super excited for it! I cannot wait!
