Liz and Mike’s summer wedding at the Inn on Peaks

by

Liz and Mike had a gorgeous day for their Peaks Island wedding.  As Liz’s dad, Mark, said during his toast, you could feel all the love in that tent at the Inn on Peaks.  During the ceremony, Mark playfully handed a tissue to Mike who shed some tears at the sight of Liz walking down the aisle.  The entire day was just that — a mixture of emotions, so much laughter and love.  Mike’s best man, Hadley, carried on that theme with his toast (and his dancing skills later!) as well as Liz’s maid of honor and matron of honor, her sisters Laura and Jess, respectively.  I was extremely excited to see Jess and Paul (and meet two-year-old Henry!) whose wedding I photographed at the Gloucester Yacht Club four years ago!  So it was extra special to be photographing Liz and Mike’s wedding, being able to see their relationship grow from that point.  Liz’s mom, Sally, made the table runners and her cousin did her hair and makeup.  Mike’s dad, Richard, gave a sweet toast to the couple, which kicked off the dancing par-tay!  Liz and Mike absolutely succeeded in throwing a killer celebration for over 160 of their closest friends and family, and made certain they both thoroughly enjoyed it all alongside them!

Thanks, Liz and Mike, for allowing me to document it all; such an amazing day!  Congrats on tying the knot, and I have no doubt you are enjoying your honeymoon to Costa Rica!

How they met, according to Liz:

We are both from North Andover, Massachusetts, although we did not know each other well since Mike attended the Brooks School for high school and I attended North Andover High School. We met while on a church mission trip to the Dominican Republic when we were 16. We has our first sparks then, and reconnected over 10 years later when Mike reached out for a first date, which appropriately was at a bar called "Church."
