Nicole and Steve packed up a truck and moved to Texas. For a day. They realized they didn't like the heat, and turned back around toward New York. Such was the case for wedding plans, too. A large, elaborate wedding was in the works for next summer. Unenthused by the stress of the process, they made a pivot and chose a destination wedding at Newagen Seaside Inn. They invited 30 friends and family with one of the most creative and daring wedding invitations I have seen, laser cut by a friend.
Their casual Thursday afternoon celebration was marked by a quick ceremony that included a joint painting, a lingering cocktail hour by the gazebo, portraits around the grounds and then an early dinner on the deck of the inn. Formal dances were on the lawn while guests watched, followed by toasts. It was time for me to head out as the sun was starting to set and dinner was underway.
Wishing these two, together since high school (!), continued adventures together. Adore your spontaneity!
