When I arrived on this day I found Nikki and her maids getting ready at a private home along the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee. Their room overlooked the beautiful ceremony spot where Nikki and Jason would say their I Do's later that afternoon along the water. Also present for the preparations was their dog, Peso, a sweet little Chihuahua who was certainly wondering what all the fuss was about. He followed his mama as she had her makeup done, made last minute phone calls, and even took a few minutes to do some stretches before getting into her dress.
After a sweet ceremony that included beautiful music performed by friends and personalized vows by the couple that had guests both laughing and shedding a few tears, everyone headed to a private apple orchard for cocktails. You arrive to this special spot via a long, tree-lined driveway that opens up onto apple trees, rock walls, and a beautiful barn. The tent where dinner and dancing would take place was beautifully decorated with rustic, wooden chairs and tables, and even a custom barn board dance floor.
After cocktail hour, guests were seated in the tent for one of the most delicious buffets I've seen. As the sun went down, the tent was lit by flickering candles and the sounds of talking, laughing, and clinking glasses filled the space. Dinner was followed by a selection of pies for dessert and after some coffee guests were ready to get out on the dance floor. Event though Jason had stitches in his foot from an axe injury (!), he joined Nikki and their family and friends to dance the night away.
Nikki and Jason, thank you so much for having us and have an amazing time in Paris coming up!
